Ashley  is a journalist, formerly the host of Voice of the Vatican on Shalom World TV, the Rome Correspondent for the Relevant Radio Network and a consultant of Crisis Communications and Media Training for Religious leaders and organizations. She has been featured on TV news networks like FOX, CBN and CBS as an expert on Vatican issues (click here for videos). She teaches Media Training for Priests at the Pontifical North American College and is an Instructor of Media Training at the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross. She was formerly the English Language Official at the Pontifical Council for Social Communications at the Vatican. Ashley holds a degree in International Business and Marketing from the University of Dayton, Ohio, holds a Masters in Theology from Holy Apostles Seminary, an STL in Communications and is a PhD candidate in communications and journalism. Ashley began tour guiding during the Jubilee year of 2000.  She speaks Italian, loves a good cappuccino and sharing Rome with everyone from Romaphiles to first time visitors of all ages.

John  is the former Producer of Voice of the Vatican on Shalom World TV. He is also Professor of Art & Architecture and Theology. He brings a diverse cultural and academic background to the tour experience, with a bachelors degree in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering, and a Master’s in Computer Engineering and Information Systems. John worked for many years in the telecommunications industry leading the Technology and Initiatives Group at Verizon Global Telecommunications, before doing a Master’s in Philosophy and Theology. He is a Wilbur Fellow and is also pursuing a PhD in BioMedical Ethics at the Pontifical University of the Regina Apostolorum. Formerly a professional tap dancer, John loves to cut a rug with his wife and to teach ballroom dancing. John enjoys integrating all these different fields and his expertise in Church and Roman History enhances any tour experience!     

We were married in February of 2008, and have been enjoying living "la dolce vita" in bella Roma ever since.  Our passion is to share our knowledge to help others know and appreciate the riches of Rome as much as we do!
